Aster Data Appoints David Kloc as Vice President, Worldwide Channels and Partners

Netezza, Arbor Software/Hyperion Solutions Veteran Joins Leading, Large-Scale Data Management and Advanced Analytics Software Provider

David Kloc will be responsible for the strategic direction and growth of Aster Data’s global channel partnership program, including all strategic sales channels.

David brings to Aster Data over 20 years of sales, channel management, and relevant market experience in the business intelligence and data warehousing market. David was most recently Vice President of Strategic Development at Netezza Corporation. At Netezza, David was responsible for building channels and partnerships that drove rapid market adoption in both North America and Europe. Additionally, David launched Netezza’s European business, and as VP of EMEA Operations made significant contributions to support Netezza’s successful initial public offering (IPO) in 2007. Prior to Netezza, David held various direct sales, channel management, pre-sales, and consulting roles at BackWeb Technologies, as well as at Arbor Software/Hyperion Solutions (now Oracle). At Arbor Software/Hyperion Solutions he was instrumental in creating the OLAP database category by driving early customer growth that took revenues from $0 to more than $250 million and contributed to its successful IPO. Earlier in his career David was a consulting leader with Arthur Andersen delivering executive support systems for Global 1000 clients.
